Product Description
Let our benevolent Leaf Man nature spirit plaque
add a mystical, architectural touch to your home or garden!
The Leaf Man or Green Man is an ancient nature spirit of woodland places, plants, trees, & foliage. He represents fertility, springtime, and renewal and roams the woodlands of Europe in legend. Also called Green Jack, Jack-in-the-Green and Green George he is depicted as a face peering through leaves, usually Oak, which was sacred to druids, and a crown of leaves as a symbol of divinity.
Gargoyles were first used as accents in architecture and to scare away evil spirits in medieval times, mostly in cathedrals and castles. Green man sculptures can be found on many historic buildings and churches throughout Europe.
Antiqued rust finish plaque is a decorative accent for any room in your home, cabin, cottage, or for your porch, patio or garden! He will weather naturally if outside, or to retain original finish simply spray with a protective clear-coat before exposing to the elements!
Plaque is new, and measures 10 inches high, 7 ½ inches wide, and 3 inches deep.
